The Celetel Messaging MCP connector ("the connector") is operated by Celetel Technologies Ltd (United Kingdom) and Celetel Technologies Pvt Ltd (India), together "Celetel". Celetel's general privacy policy at celetel.com/privacy-policy applies to the Celetel platform; this page describes what the connector itself processes. Contact us through celetel.com/contact.
It lets an AI assistant you use (for example Claude or ChatGPT) act on your Celetel account to find approved message templates, check compliance, prepare a single RCS or WhatsApp template message to one recipient, send it only after you approve the exact message, and read its delivery status and your send history. It does not send bulk campaigns, SMS, free-form messages, or anything you have not approved.
| Data | Source | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your Celetel user ID, and your email and password during sign-in only | You, at the connector's sign-in page | To verify you with Celetel's own login service and bind the connection to your account. Your password is sent to Celetel's login service and is never stored or logged by the connector; the Celetel session is closed immediately after sign-in. | User ID: life of the connection. Password: not retained. |
| Connector sign-in tokens (access and refresh tokens the connector issues to your AI client) | Connector | To authenticate your AI client's requests | Access token 1 hour; refresh token until used or 7 days after sign-in; revocable any time |
| Your Celetel scoped API key, sender configuration IDs and sender labels | Entered by you at the connector's own settings page, after signing in with your Celetel account; never through the AI assistant | To call the Celetel platform on your behalf. Validated against Celetel before it is stored; stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Never shown to the AI assistant, never included in tool results or logs. | Until you replace it or disconnect on the settings page (deleted immediately) |
| Recipient phone numbers, template names and parameter values, and the rendered message text (message drafts) | You, through your AI assistant | To prepare the message, show it to you for approval, and send it | Drafts you never approved: 30 days. Drafts that reached a final state (sent, declined or rejected): the message text, parameter values and full recipient number are erased 90 days after that; only a one-way hash of the content, a masked recipient (+91****3210), the template name and identifiers remain, for 7 years, as the audit and anti-duplicate record (subject to review by Celetel Legal) |
| Your approval decisions (approved/declined, time, method, and your identity where sign-in is enforced on the approval page) | You | Proof that a human approved each send; non-repudiation | 7 years (subject to review) |
| Celetel message and request identifiers and delivery status events (status, time, error code) | Celetel platform | Tracking, status and reconciliation | 7 years (subject to review) |
| Provider diagnostics: the short error title in a delivery receipt, the raw receipt, and the last status response cached for a message. (Celetel's free-text error on a rejected send is shown to you once and never stored.) | Celetel platform | Troubleshooting a failed delivery | Erased together with the message content 90 days after the message reached a final state |
| Opt-out and allow-listed numbers for your account | Your administrator, or inbound STOP requests | To block messages to people who opted out, or to limit a test account to safe numbers | Until removed by your administrator |
| Technical logs: timestamps, request and session identifiers, error categories, client IP for rate limiting | Connector | Security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting | Up to 90 days. Logs never contain passwords, API keys, phone numbers or message content. |
Template names and content, the rendered preview of a draft, opaque draft and message identifiers, compliance findings and status events. It never sees your password, API key, internal user ID or approval state, and it cannot approve a send on your behalf.
The connector runs on Celetel infrastructure in India and Singapore. Encrypted backups are stored with Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region. Messages are delivered by the Celetel platform through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) and RCS carriers under your Celetel service agreement. Public traffic to the connector passes through Cloudflare. No data is sold or shared with any other third party, and the connector does not read your AI assistant's conversation history, memory or files beyond the tool inputs you send it.
Sending messages you choose to send and keeping records of approved sends: performance of your contract with Celetel and Celetel's legitimate interest in fraud prevention, duplicate prevention and dispute resolution, together with applicable telecom record-keeping obligations. Operational logging: legitimate interest in security. Recipients of your messages are protected by your own consent and notices as the message sender; Celetel processes their numbers as your service provider.
TLS for all traffic; OAuth 2.1 with PKCE for your AI client; API keys encrypted at rest; least-privilege Celetel keys scoped to your own senders; a tamper-evident audit log; rate limiting; and mandatory human approval of the exact message before any send. Security issues can be reported through celetel.com/contact.
We will update this page when the connector's processing changes and note the date above.
